Report: Bloomberg calls fisherman Orlov Russia’s new billionaire

MOSCOW, Jan 24 (PRIME) -- Russian businessman Vitaly Orlov, owner of fishery Norebo Holding, has become a billionaire, who is not listed by Forbes so far, Bloomberg reported on Tuesday, citing sources.

The agency said that 60% of the Norebo Holding’s revenue came from exports. “Orlov’s export business was unharmed by the sanctions, which excluded food, and President Vladimir Putin’s counter-measures that included prohibition of E.U. food imports led to a spike in domestic sales for Norebo-caught capelin, mackerel and herring.

Orlov told business daily Kommersant in February 2016 that he owned 67% in Norebo Holding. In June, media reported that the businessman bought 33% more in the holding from his partner Magnus Roth.
